REGISTRATION: A non-refundable yearly registration fee of $50 per student is charged on your charge card on file for present students between May 30 and June 5, 2016. Registration form and enrollment fee must be turned into the front office before a new student begins lessons.
SCHOOL TERM: The school term runs from June 1, 2016-June 1, 2017. Teacher holidays will include one week for Thanksgiving, two weeks for winter holidays, two weeks for summer holiday, one week for Spring Break, and a week of personal leave taken between Sept. 1, 2016 and May 21, 2017. Each student will receive 43 lessons per year.
TUITION: Tuition is PREPAID FOR EACH MONTH by credit card or check. Invoices are emailed monthly to check clients. Tuition is due by the 10th of each month or semester. The year's tuition is divided into 11.5 equal payments. While the number of lessons varies from month to month, the monthly tuition remains unchanged. A $30 late fee will be assessed for declined credit cards not corrected by the 10th of each month. $30 fee will be charged for returned checks. If an account is not paid in full after one month, the family will be notified and automatically dropped from school’s enrollment.
MAKEUP LESSONS: Two makeup lessons per year will be given with a 24-hour notice of absence. A make-up must be completed by the end of each year. There will be an optional make-up for inclement weather closings of Gray School of Music, May 22-27, 2017. Makeup lessons may be held on Skype or Facetime as well in a masterclass format. Private lesson makeups are held at teacher’s discretion. Makeups are not carried over to the next year.
SUMMER LESSONS: We are a year round school with lessons continuing all year. Students are required to take EIGHT LESSONS between June 1 and mid-August with flexible scheduling to work around vacations and camps. Families who will be gone all summer need to fill out a Withdrawal Form at front desk. You must give a 30 day paid notice if you will be gone during the summer. Students may elect to take more than 8 summer lessons during the summer.
WITHDRAWAL: Registration is for the entire year beginning June 1, 2016-June 1, 2017. If a student must withdraw, a 30 day paid notice is required. If a thirty day notice is not provided, the family is still responsible for the tuition to cover the 30 day period. Withdrawal forms are available at the front desk.
WAITING ROOM: The waiting areas are provided for your enjoyment, but quiet needs to be maintained in these areas so as not to disturb ongoing lessons. No food or drinks are permitted in the school.
CHILDREN UNDER 12
Due to facility leasing company policy no children under the age of 12 will be allowed alone outside the school. Parents need to enter the school to bring and pick up their children.
